Omar van Dok
Graduated from Amfi as a tailor and 3d Artist/designer. with a background in pattern cutting. my work process has some traditional elements in it as I am a firm believer that quality rises when the process and development are well thought through. from creating the concept, selecting colours and sourcing materials, to creating 2d sketches that are then translated into patterns in 3d programs for prototyping and visualising. done so with Clo3d and Browzwear. After completing this stage I then look at the added value of creating it in its tactile and physical form and whether another garment needs to be made or whether the digital product would suffice.
I have been working as a designer in the industry at PVH Corp for Tommy Hilfiger menswear, Calvin Klein Europe and for independent designers within the Netherlands.
