There is this need to have more control of your own life, This structure that you lost and your route through that has vanished, this grasp of something that supports you and your self-control. We lost a lot during our restricted confinement and are just gaining some freedom. And though it seems like a positive happening. Without that one thing that supports us, we already feel so disconnected and lost, so how will we be able to direct our lives without losing more of ourselves and our community?
This uniform is constructed like a three-piece suit that will help regain the control that assists with the routing of your life. It’s your support system and recognition point. It will help with the danger of being overstimulated in this free future, as we are not used to it anymore. Creating stability, a safe feeling and calmness. It connects and creates a community without being enforced as it will be something that you choose to wear. It will become as to say your exactitude page where you feel connected and calm.
Suit 1. The formal costume
The suits have been given a route of their own. Starting from collaging with abstract shapes, which are then being traced and translated into a readable sketch. this whole process is similar to the conceptual thought of regaining and restructuring your daily life.
The process included an in-between stage of paper toiling. which was used to get to the desired shapes from the collages. These toiles can be easily dissembled and then used for the first prototypes within a digital interface.

Suit 2. the dressed up uniform.
the second outfit is based on the dressed-up Idea of a school uniform with a casual feel to it. this outfit had its start within the digital interface instead of making a paper toile. some of the outfits had a direct route within Clo3d to speed up the design process. in this case the shapes in the sketches already gave clarity about the cut of the suit.

Suit 3. the semi-formal suit.
The collection consists of graphic elements throughout the designs taken from the first drawings and collages. Combined with the classic elements of tailoring such as the basting yarn, dressed collars and welted pockets with a modern touch. these two elements combined are the main components within the collection.
These three designs were part of the physical collection and were realised in leftover stock fabrics. Other outfits were only created in CLo3d as digital designs with similar finishes and design elements. this was to create a hybrid tailor shop. A format to show that the traditional is a part of the present and the future.
